We had to get to Needles CA, before dark and it's getting windy. The Z sleeps in tonight and I don't have to remove all that stuff off.

Tuesday we did ~38.2 miles before my engine started to acting up.

At the end of that trail I noticed my engine sounded funny.

On trail end camp Rd.

Very steep in some part.

No mistakes are allowed here.

Or you'll pay dearly ...

If it goes down it must come up on the other side.

SandWash in the wash.

Way down the canyon and ready to climb up.

This is where I had to shut my engine down completely.

I almost got hit by lightening I saw it. It was 3 dunes away and was very fu*#ing loud. No shelter. What a day I am having. I had to climb one of these dunes (for better reception) to make a call to AAA is when I saw it. I went down lay low by the tree it's not like it is any safer but a stayed away from my bike. I brace myself for the hit anyway , 10 minutes later the storm looks like it was moving south.

Not a good place to break down.
Tow truck was there 40 minutes later to move me more east toward Aguila on the 60 where I met Tom 3.5 hours later. Thanks Tom I owe u big. and thank u for organizing this event. Always a pleasure to ride with the iron man.

Eddie, Great pics! I enjoyed riding with you, I think you were packing everything including the kitchen sink on your bike. Hope it is nothing terminal with your engine.
Cheers,
Tom

Great pic's Eddy...
Thought about you boys all day Tuesday, knowing you were close by... Would like riding in that area but will wait for a rain shower to firm up that DAMN sand.
Eddy do you still have my phone number? You should have called and I could have hauled you a ways until we met Tom coming down the hill. Next time... do not hesitate to call.
Hope you scooter is not too serious!

Would luv to hook up with youse guys for parts of this kind'a run. Surely do prefer the dirt to the deep sand, tho. I found some of both going down and back to Mecca/Salton Sea from Kingman last weekend. I was riding alone for the going 'n coming so didn't get to far off pavement.

Son of Bitch!

I wish I knew about this ride --- Looks like a great route! Anyone got some GPS tracks they can share?

Could the one on the left be from a tip over after bouncing off a rock
I also see a different seat in your future
