That red Indian Scout in your pics, No. 96 for next year's Cannonball belongs to an inmate.......SDVET from Dalton, Ga.

AND he won a prize for that Injun:

Thanks for posting the pics you guys. I had my heart set on making it this year but it is hard to manage an 1800 mile weekend.

Well I brought my nice camera and lugged it out into the woods Saturday morning for the Observed Trials competition. About a 5 or 6 shots in it died. I was left with a camera phone so I just set it to burst mode in hopes of catching something worthwhile with it ridiculously delayed shutter action.

Here are a few.

Not so much as a mosquito bite for me this year, and I went hiking in the woods on the cross country and trials trails all day Saturday. Never even used bug spray.

In fact I can not say I have ever had issues with bugs in 8 years of going to and camping at the Vintage Festival. Them blood suckers must really love you.

Jason, thanks for the photos. I noticed you taking pictures while riding the trial. I'm in the 7th pic. BTW I got a few chiggers too. What a great week end though.

Very nice, I really enjoyed following the trail and the riders through the different sections.

I must admit that in my 8 years of attending I had not paid much attention to the Vintage Trials or Cross Country competition. I normally just stuck to the Road Race action and the paddock. I was looking for something new to enjoy this year and decided to spend more time watching the off road action. I am really glad I did.

Most of the trials riders showed some really impressive skill and bike control, especially some of the top level 1 and 2 riders. I got back to Tennessee and started looking for vintage trials bikes on craigslist.

This is you?

They are not terribly high quality but you are welcome to download/keep any of the pictures of you or your friends. I will look on the other camera that failed and see if I have any others of you from one of the other stages. I could probably send the full size versions if you like as well.
