The stars did not align this year.

Enjoy the pancakes. I'll be on a mission to Madison.

Well, I am in the Pirate bar.

So that's nice.

I've got this feeling that I am the only one at pancakes, this year.

And that's OK. If that is so, I shall ride to the Trail Center lodge tomorrow, have a pancake, award myself a door prize, and declare pancakes V2 a success.

So long as there is one motorcyclist at the Trail Center Lodge, then pancakes happened.

I really wanted to see your door prize (but I didn't want to receive it). Please post pictures!

it was good to see some of you at the TRAIL CENTER today.
Steve and i left thunder bay in the rain and arrived back in a downpour.
my gear became less water 'RESISTANT" on the ride back home.
breakfast was great , might have to go back up there next year.
still trying to make it to ELY,MN sometime next week. looks like Tuesday Oct 15 night might be possible .
if you can make it up to the ELY STEAK HOUSE that night I'll buy you a drink.

Pancakes *and* beer ? I feel so ashamed now .... I thought I was the only one who would mix breakfast and lunch like that !

Tonight all I have is some water beer and the promise of iron made blueberry waffles in the morning.

Next weekend's looking pretty good weather wise. Which means it will probably be shiite until that Sunday afternoon. Sorry I missed it. Something about that area just makes me want more.

Well, the beer was last night. Pancakes this morning.

I was a little, ah, delicate this am.

Anyhoo, pictures of the doings:

Breakfast started with this

And was assisted by this.

This helped make it all better, and kept me going for the 290 mile ride home.

The pancakes were big, as always

Bike line up. It wasn't the best attended event.

Actually there were 4 other riders - two guys came from Thunder Bay, so that was cool, and tiptover (sp?) from Minneapolis.

Colors are spectacular at the moment, even on such a grey and dreary day. Riding home down Mn 23 was excellent, and I am pleased that Aerostitch gear is actually as good as they claim. 310 total miles today - it rained every freakin' inch of the way, but I stayed very very dry. Pretty happy.

It turns out the Trail Center Lodge has an ADV menu.

No Door Prize Awarded

Thankful that Prop was preoccupied with the early morning events to worry about awarding his fabo door prize...which he would have won for having ridden the farthest to be ejected from the GFTavern. Congrats Prop. Nice to see everyone. Looked like a shitty ride home.

Since we were light on numbers, and because many of us were a little poorly, we didn't do doorprizes. So the mystery magical magnificent doorprize shall return next year. There can be no pictures of it, as I don't want to stop people showing up. So you'll have to wait and see!

Ha ! Looks like our ride last weekend. (Advil included) Not so bad, but a bit of an "adventure" with the wet.

PS - Is that a pancake or a shingle !
