$200? For a $10,000 bike? Those are the old days for sure... say 1985

I used to be the king of buying my bikes back... nowadays insurance companies know how much all these bikes are worth, how much value is in the parts. Most every major insurer in North America has agreements with salvage/resllers to take ALL their total loss vehicles. If they do "sell it back" to you it ain't gonna be that cheap.

They're in business to MAKE MONEY not give us a good deal on a bike with a dented frame tube
That's my experience as well, ship them the headstock cut from the frame with vin#s and you can get a replacement frame. At least that was the way it was a few years ago. Good Luck Paul!

Did you buy the bike back from the insurance? If it was mine I would ride it. I have had a bike with the same problem and had no problems.

That's what I said a few posts ago but Geometrician is saying you can buy frames without numbers. I called around and was told no,,,, KTM will only replace a frame with an old VIN not sell a frame with no VIN.
