Heat controller power outlet position

Where do you guys mount your power cable outlet from the battery? I ziptied my last one tightly to the frame tube on the left side near the front of the seat thinking it would isolate it from wear. Didn't work out as within a couple months it was toast.

Tips appreciated.

The key is to not pinch the wires.
This is on the GSW.

A better solution on the GTL but the caps keep breaking with the cold weather and you need to buy a whole socket.

I see what you did there. Nice. very similar to my failed attempt but more well thought out.

Thanks a bunch. Headed for the barn now!

Look for the spring loaded outlets (~$20) ... the plastic retainers always break off in the cold. It is easy to fab a bracket out of a piece of angle aluminum available at your local hardware store .YMMV
