I'd be keen for Saturday, I have a bee keeping field day on Sunday. Just need to slip a new rear tyre on the 640 and see if it still runs after sitting for 6 months

Single motorcyclist with suspected spinal injuries. No further info immediately available. It happens.

Kinglake

Howdy,

Kinglake St Andrews sounds good. Suggest a Sunday for lunch.

i reckon all of the above. we should aim for 100% dirt. you inevitably do 95% road by the time you get out and back anyways

at this point sat 12th looks alright for me too.

has anyone been out behind cathedral range? i went up there once and there seemed to be a few good tracks to explore. plus you get the spur up and back...

Two ways to Kinglake: up The Slide (twisty tarmac: lots of cars, bicycles, etc) or via Stratheuwen (very provocative Black Saturday memorial park there), onto the dirt under the powerlines zig-zagging up the mountain and onto the tar to the Kinglake pub/coffee - then down The Slide to St Andrews .... or onto Murrindindi, Toolangi & Healesville etc.

Yep, sure do - mostly, off the back of a CFA tanker! I'm happy to lay out & lead a ride with a mix of windy tar roads and some easy dirt; give me a couple of days to go & do some recce riding and I'll start a new thread.
How about making it suitable for smaller bikes and less-experienced riders initially, so we can all guage what each other's interests & skill levels are, before we get in over someone's head?
No point in scaring bejezus out of someone: I'm much happier helping, guiding mentoring - and learning - than practicing CPR and talking to the nice despatch lady at 000.

Precis: Im in too, sounds like a fun ride then a meet and greet at a pub with others later on perfect!!! Only been down in VIC 2 years, 8 months with a dual sport bike so never been there yet. Looking forward to it. I could find out how that biker went, not currently at work, otherwise I would probably know already. On A/L at moment so bit outta the loop.

If I get this right (I can do either sat/sun or both )

Fnatic: either
Prestonpaul: Sat
Wayno: ???
Paynebrody: Sat
Brocksamoyed: Sun (Is Sat an option for you?)

Sounds like Sat has the majority so far.
