Saturday would be good, then watch bathurst on Sunday! Might go to the spaghetti rally, but work has gone a bit silly and just a day ride might be better. If Sunday suits you better Precis, thats fine as well. Just interested in the ride.

Saturday suit me better too, but this coming (5th) is a junior development day at Broadford, and our Junior wants to get some more laps on her 125.
Sooo, looks like Sat 12th.
To get the most interesting roads in, I'd suggest a start at the Eltham Scottish restaurant at about 09.30: I have a clearish day tomorrow, so will try & rough out a route that has max corners and a decent amount of easier dirt; this will suit smaller bikes and novice riders.
We will use the time-proven corner-marking system and I'll knock up a few mud-maps-on-paper so only some people will get lost. One of them will probably be me....

The Scottish restaurant (McDonalds....) Cnr Bridge & Bolton rds, Eltham, Melways 21-G6.
Gonna start there as there's some nice backroads heading roughly the right way, so we can all establish a comfortable riding pattern before we get too far into the back blocks.

And as of yesterday, I can attest that The Slide to Kinglake is bloody horrible when it's raining, going up OR down! There's that many different surfaces, plus it's breaking up in places, that I was sliding all over the shop.
Still managed to light up the angry "Slow Down" electric nanny sign though!
