I was on K60s, but late, so in a hurry and "pressing on" in conditions where I should have been going more smoothly - mea culpa; in the dry, any road-legal tyre would be fine!

Gonna start there as there's some nice backroads heading roughly the right way, so we can all establish a comfortable riding pattern before we get too far into the back blocks.

And as of yesterday, I can attest that The Slide to Kinglake is bloody horrible when it's raining, going up OR down! There's that many different surfaces, plus it's breaking up in places, that I was sliding all over the shop.
Still managed to light up the angry "Slow Down" electric nanny sign though!
What Time?

If anyone's interested Saturdays weather, top of 23, sunny morning scattered showers in the arvo/ eve.
Hopefully tonight I'll have new T63's, chain' spockets, wheel bearings and Cush drive bushings on the DR and be ready to roll.
Looking forward to my first ADV ride and meeting some new folk.

Here's one for the diaries.
The Motorcycling Against Cancer rides are always great fun and are generally suitable for all levels of rider.
There is still over a month to get your bike and your self organized, get permission, get time off, what ever you have to do to get there so there is no excuse not to go!

I agree,

I have been looking on this site for some time for a Melbourne ride thread. Seems other states have this set up , so a great idea.
I currently ride on my own, so to hook up with others would be a good way to learn, get into this type of riding.
Cheers,
Neil. (p.s.hoping to come along on the Saturday ride this week if ok)
