Mea Culpa!

Sorry guys, old laptop coupled with bad internet every few days made it too time consuming to update here. I'll try to catch you up to speed through pictures while I'm here in Jackson Hole Wyoming. Ride is absolutely incredible, I am loving every minute of this.

I left Monument valley and headed over to the valley of the Gods, Moki Dugway and camped at Muley Point

Left Muley Point and continued West.

Scenery changed as I climbed to higher elevation in Western Utah

The parks were still closed at this point but I was able to drive through Mt. Zion, incredible place!

No shortage of trails to follow in this area either

From there I just made a pretty quick shot to Southern Cali where I stayed with my best friend for a few days, then headed back North up the Eastern half of California. This is my first look at the Sierra Nevada range. I;m from Texas so I don;t see a lot of mountains. I was loving this!

Next morning i headed over to Bodie to see that really neat old town

Next stop, Lake Tahoe!! I ate my lunch in this spot, The lake was breathtaking, bluest water I've ever seen.

There are places every 2 miles to stop and take pictures, I had to pass up hundreds just so I could make any distance.

So many parts of Northern California reminded me of Texas, Pine trees everywhere

And then other parts that looked nothing like Texas lol

Into Oregon now, this is the moon rise over Mt. Shasta.

Had way too much of this the first part of the trip...

But also a lot of this, so it evened out

Stayed in Arco Idaho for a night. Neat little town with lots of history.

Got to ride out of town a few miles and watch the sunset.

Next morning headed into Wyoming, this was my first taste of this state and snow. I'm in love!

Ate my lunch next to Snake River

Under the antler arches in downtown Jackson last night

And Sasha chilling in downtown square.

And now you are up to speed with the aimless wanderings of this Texan

Great Pics!

If you are going further North, be sure to ride WY 296 -Chief Joseph Skyway- about halfway to Cody from the Beartooth pass is a great primitive camp site in the bend of the road - 'Dead Indian' Campsite! Then 14A out of Cody towards the Big Horn Mts. - Medicine Wheel Passageway. N If going into MT, Beartooth Pass (212) is a must, if still open.

Great photography! . I spent most of the summer riding through many of the same places you visited. Your photographs are better than mine. Thanks for posting.

Seems we've been hitting the same places. Was just in WY, ID, OR and MT 2 months ago. Don't sweat selling all your shit and hitting the road at 30, took me till 32 to make the same decision. Now 34 is creeping up and i'm still at it without one regret, other than not doing it sooner. Hardest part will be leaving the road and going back what people call "life".

From a fellow photo junkie really nice shots!

You were so close to the big redwoods. Too bad you missed that. I just came through them a couple weeks ago. I think I shed a little tear. Enjoy!

Great pics. I'd put a GOP sticker on the govt shutdown posters, tell Obama to stick it and ride around. Poster wouldn't stop me!
