And his shoe laces were undone so he stooped down right at the right front wheel. Which, btw, makes me wonder why a person there to supposedly "defuse" the situation would go to the passenger side in the first place (disregarding him being crouched at the tyre)?

I seriously think the tosser got what he deserved, and that he did it mostly to himself. Just like throwing yourself in front of a train: Damage was inevitable at some point.

You have a screwed up moral compass. You think it is perfectly fine for a police officer to do crimes in his free time and that that shouldn't influence his employment. Firing him for doing so or firing a priest for being a paedophile in his free time, is making the firing the immoral part.

And cops taking part in a mob chasing down and beating a dad in front of his kid, that´s morally sound, if they weren´t on duty at that time?

It's a part of everyday life here , it's just generally hush hush and covered up when discovered.

NYPD Internal Affairs cop part of biker ride that ended in beating

http://nypost.com/2013/10/10/nypd-in...ed-in-beating/

Quote:
A cop from the NYPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau was part of the massive biker ride that ended with a Manhattan dad getting chased up the West Side Highway and brutally beaten on a city street, sources told The Post.
The officer is not assigned to the case, which has led to the arrest of an undercover cop on gang assault charges — and there is no evidence that he joined in or even witnessed criminal behavior.
But he did wait several days before coming forward to ‘fess up to being among the 300 motorcycles that roared through Manhattan on Sept. 29, sources said.

Say what you may about being prepared for this biker "gathering", they seem to be putting a good show on rounding up those involved with the beating.

Yup, nothing like a video-taped crime, widely publicised!

Which reminds me, what happened to the wannabe "lawyer" who couldn't keep snot from 'stache? He seems to have gone underground all of a sudden.

Amazingly stupid that these idiots wouldn't think that anyone with a GoPro recording their stupid moves might, just "might" get them in trouble with the law and the video be used as evidence against them????

If they were burglars, they would probably be stupid enough to film the entire heist and post it on youtube.

In one clip license plates were only visible on about one of five bikes. And some of those plates were stolen. This demonstrates premeditation, I suppose. This type of "run" is not uncommon and I've seen video of some that go through my neighborhood in Boston.

PD's actively use social media sites to track these events and try to prevent them. NYPD had keeping them out of Times Square as a focus and succeeded in that goal. This assault was an unintended consequence.
