Style-wise, I think they've made a great improvement over the old 'Stroms. I just couldn't get past the looks before, but really quite like the new look.

I didn't dive too deeply into the site, but right off I'd be interested to know how much time was devoted to give the bike some actual off-road credibility. The cast wheels look great for the street, but don't inspire much confidence off the pavement - and things like ground clearance and suspension travel are obviously important for true adventure bike capabilities.

But - if the bike provides active competition for the Tenere, Triumphs, and Beemer GS models, I say great job, Suzuki! (Chances of taking on KTM as leader of the off-road pack are pretty small, I'd say.)

Nice bike, great motor, but I wouldn't try getting any air on it, Bob!

So did Suzuki do any redesigning to the motor or is it the same old lump?

Not that there was anything wrong.....just curious.

I'm trying to think of the name of another motorcycle company that already puts beaks on some of their bikes and has for awhile....hmmmm...
