Ha! I was already wondering how the 1290 would look with a high fender like my 990 SMR!

It's a crazy bike to be sure, but I find something has been lost in the translation from the Prototype R they had at Goodwood....maybe it's just the headlight and exhaust....dunno....there's somehting not quite the same.....

same here. like it's been watered down.

December 2013 delivery? no way.

KTM street bikes don't arrive until april/may.

that's a lot of power! I'll keep my RC8R and keep the wind blast off my chest :-)

The watered down look compared to the prototype is hard to avoid and still get the thing street legal. For sure that rear license plate holder will have to go. Hard to change the exhaust too much as the prototype was a straight pipe or a minimal muffler under the bike. And you have to have a seat! The prototype has just a thin piece of foam for a seat.

Ha! Hopefully KTM will send us enough beasts for everyone, though judging about how they delay parts getting to us, I am not so sure. Still waiting for a replacement immobilizer for my 990. Went bad in June.........

typical :) 180 hp and naked :) you need a lot muscles to actually speed up on the motorway.

used to have a diavel that's 162 hp and used to tear your arms if you are a little too much on the throttle . naked bikes are not for speed or power pointless.

Thats a wheelie good machine and designed to be hooligan and I reckon they have achieved it well.

Most protos they show never have mirrors, plate holders and all the girlie stuff ya need for the road so it is no surprise to see it like this.

Coming from Ducati S4 Monsta, SMR and building my own street fighter I think this is simply awesome.

I said I would never buy a new bike again .... I might have to work a bit smarter

Fixed that for you, since many will disagree with the way you left it.
