Acerbis rear aux fuel tank

I just bought a 2008 990 and it has a acerbis aux rear fuel tank. Not sure who designed this because I cannot open the gas cap. How do you guys handle this? I can cut and reweld the rack with a radius on the back brace to make the cap accessible . That seems to be the only option with this tank?

I do not want to put safari tanks on yet so do not tell me to get those.

Thanks

What if you relocate the turning light?

That helps! I can search for that now.

The rack is right on the cap. I will use some of the suggestion that other inmates have done.

Some cut the rack support and re-weld it in place backwards so that the bar is no longer in the way.

A remake of the brace would be very easy to accommodate the cap and would cost a lot, that would be an easy fix to have your cake and eat it too.
