Ok, now the pics are working, and it is, as I had presumed, a pretty cool find. I could explore around a place like that for days.

Oh man, that's my kind of adventure! I don't know if I'd have the brass to go four stories down into the unknown, but really great none the less. Is that a limestone mine? We have one near us that looks similar, NW of St. Louis. Here's a link. http://www.undergroundozarks.com/for...c.php?p=108033
There are a few pics if you scroll down.

Very interesting. Neat finding and old place like this. As someone said, Area 51 East...too funny!

I had a TS125. Man I wish I still had that bike.

Great pics of an interesting place!

White Stuff

Some of that white stuff, especially the piles in the earlier shots, could be ammonium nitrate. Mixed properly it is a pretty powerful explosive and is often used in conjunction with dynamite to make a bigger explosion.

I love "discovery" rides like that. And you got way further into there than I would have! Scary movie, indeed. Sweet bike, too! Nice to see the older rides being used as they should.

Cool pics. The building was probably used as a core splitting shed. The round sticks of rocks laid out in boxes are samples from a core drilling operation.
