2014 Amageza Rallye: 1 to 8 November

This year's edition will run over 5 days from Upington in the Northern Cape to Ashkam, to Kakamas, to Springbok, to Sutherland and finish in Cape Town on the 7th of November.

Maintaining concentration and staying at 9 tenths for such a long time is going to be a tremendous test for the competitors and machinery. There are nearly 80 paid up entrants, and this year a small number of quads and side-by-sides will be competing. This will throw something new into the mix!

I'm one of those sun-struck marshals in the pics a couple of posts back and I can't wait to be involved in this EPIC event again!

Just like it should be.

We get it a little better every year. The media team will keep the updates as live as possible.

No live TV coverage yet. But the internet makes the world quite nice and flat.

I'm a water carrier this year for Hentie Hanekom on a KTM 500 and Willem du Toit on a KTM 450. I'll be on a 690 battle cruiser. The other guys in our team are on another KTM 500 and a kick-ass 530.

I'm not participating so will try and post some updates

We can create a new thread before the race.

The 2014 edition will even have International Presence which is great for the future of this "local" rally.

Just check the background in that pic.

Just glad he decided against the Blue Bull paint scheme. He might have found some farmers lock the gates before he can pass through
