Yeah, think I mentioned something like that last year, possibly in the Rubby thread, that we didn't have to have him for that sound. Though since he started I've always preferred that V8 to the Bbbrrraaaaaapppp of the turbo diesels.

Get there and WTF!! The whole front end of the truck is broke off!!!, I'm talking the front axle assembly, wheels etc.

OK I had just been going on that they are indestructable and I go to show this bloke one and it is broken! I'm talking serious stuff here 20mm dia HT bolts all just sheared off.

He was leading the rally up till then Now he was stopped.

I cannot imagine what he hit and at what speed it was just mind boggling to look at. HOW could you break it???

Cheers

The driver swapped out with the navigator on a liason section for a sleep ,then the navigator fell asleep driving and went off the roda into a ditch at 100km /hr .That's how the front end got broken off .

How does that translate to rally raid though? Honest question. Loeb has been doing WRC for over a decade so often times they are running the same stages as year's past and they do recce for each stage prior to the race. They also recce Pike's Peak. There is no pre-running Dakar.

Currently, RG/KW in the hummer are not showing up on the starters list....

Sainz seems to be doing OK and he wasn't as successful as Seb at WRC. McRae was quickish too, but succumbed to the same weaknesses he had in WRC (crashing, hard).

If Seb takes on Dakar I bet he's very successful in a very short time frame.

I would be VERY surprised if we see Loeb in the Dakar for 2015. He is involved with Citroen in the WTCC series in Europe.

I'd forgotten about that; been too long since i've listened to Midweek Motorsport. is early Jan tied up with WTCC testing?

Looks like BJ & Cody had 2 different run in's with the French yesterday. One was with a Toad that wouldn't get out of the way and one that was an accidental nudge.

You're right, he was totally justified slamming that door in the guys face.

There is nothing more frustrating than to work your way up through the dust and catch a car in front of you who then "Jackrabbits" (puts on a burst of speed) simply because you caught them. They commonly fall back asleep at the wheel or simply can't continue at your pace and you catch them again when they've slowed, only to have them Jackrabbit again.

BJ seemed truly sorry towards the second driver, but it looked like there was nothing BJ could have said that would have calmed him down.

It's mandatory to move over if their Sentinel is going off (rule violation if you don't). And it would make sense that Quinn would be pressing the Sentinel button to let the guy know to move over.
