Post from Planet Robby on FB

This is a response by Planet Robby to a comment made on FB:

Car wasn't ready yet. He was originally going to run the Hummer with Yazeed racing, then they opted not to run the Dakar. This put RG in a situation that he could 1) not run the Dakar at all or 2) Run his new HST 1 year earlier than he originally planned. He made it to Dakar, the new car has challenges, they will work through them and come back next year.

-------------

Yazeed had broken his back practicing in the desert with the Hummer earlier this year and was having back pain issues.

"Time out selfies. After a tough stage @quinncody and I patiently awaiting our case for yesterday's inci"dents". Apparently I should have left "Baja" at home. They don't like the bumper at all here in #Dakar. Lol. If these guys would move I wouldn't have to use the bumper!! No one respects the sentinel!! One way or another #America is coming through!!! #movebitchgetouttheway #pleasemove #beatit #yourebreathingmyenginesair #pullover #americacomingthrough"

Robby took his Nuts & Uncle Syndrome to a new level in a NBC Sports interview. - His usual "if" we hadn't had a flat, "if" we hadn't missed the waypoint, etc., we would be right there.

In the interview he stated that (paraphrasing), "if" he hadn't tried to reinvent the wheel with his new car and had brought his old "Hummer" instead, he would be right at the front.

I've gotta smile at that one.
I can feel his pain driving behind someone slower and there's no way around him. Bumping someone's car just out of frustration is something I wanna do at least once a day.

If he realy used his sentinel and the other didn't move over I see no problem in using some gentle force. They'll remeber it and act accordingly the next time.

Greetings,
Matti

Back in the Africa days (2007?) RG gave one of the Dutch Toyota's the "two toots, two taps... the two ton's" treatment in Hummer V1.0 when he was finding it difficult to find a way past on one of the more "shrubbed" stages (Mali mebbe?). As I recall the jury gave him a reprimand (fine) and the old "you must respect the sentinel" speech to the driver that was on the recieving end.

But as we say in Oz... when the horn does not grab their attention... the bullbar usually does the trick!

I replay to that comment saying:

"Go home, Robby. This isn´t your year! Better luck in 2015!"

My coment was deleted and i was blocked of the Planet Robby FB page.

Is it me or someone is with short fuse?

I don't think there are any teeth in that rule. Just my impression from what I've seen/ heard, I'm not sure much respect is paid to it.
