Does that Dakar sticker make me look fat?? It does!!

A huge thank you to the Ghost for picking my bike up off me on that nasty day 2 hill! And not using me for traction!

All I have to say is that I wasn't there, it wasn't me and you can't prove otherwise.

If you have any questions, talk to my lawyer.

Well then you missed riding this stuff.

YB must have been thinking 'WTF is cyberdos doing stopped right at the corner?'

and rides sideways down the trail. sorry about that.

at the bottom, hey, more sand! Here was 4Play dancing with some powdery stuff.

Regrouping. I guess this was the spot where Oldtimer had his first of 3 flats(?) We waited there for a while before heading towards the 86. Where Montek picked up his flat.

Shock Therapy

Quote:
De-wiring Cyberdos to prevent further electrocution. (He can tell that story)
Notice that my bike is running (far right) at the pic above. Before we stopped for lunch I had problems starting my bike. So MilT was kind enough to jump start me. Bump staring that bike is a real PIA. The non believers quickly found this out while we were getting lunch and my bike would not start. So the Ghost came up with a clever plan to run some wires out of the battery and leave them hanging out the sides of the bike so we didn't have to take off all the shit that needs to be taken off to get to the battery and we could jump start it easier. Great idea. I actually have done this on all my other bikes with heavy gauge SAE plugs. But this was crudely put together and by the morning of day 2, every time I would touch metal on the bike (especially the brake lever) I would get a nice shock.

So as we were waiting for the rear end of the group to catch up to s I decided that it was either me not braking for the remainder of the ride or take these wires off. By that time I'd been able to start the bike without issue a few times so it was probably a weak connection of the battery and not the battery itself.

Great recap and certainly sounds like a fun ride!

I've never seen a Ninja 650 decked out for offroading/adventure riding like that before. LOVE IT!

4Play certainly man-handled that thing through some rough (but more excruciatingly, the soft) spots.

Hey, what does that say?

Stinkin' hippies getting violent nowadays.

Man, this sucks. I can't edit the videos at all. Left them going over night and they were still at 0%. So I stopped them and just uploaded straight to youtube. Here's the one first one. I'll have to upload the rest later.

That's some rut

Nice vid of the sand track and rut Cyberdos. And lots of great pics overall. You can see those handlebars whipping back and forth as you go! Cool!

I was just far enough behind Reidy that I didn't run into him, but close enough to see that the rear wheel was in the air when I heard "Ooooohhhhh Shit" over the comm system.

"Oooooohhhh Shit" is our code for "There may be something in the trail ahead, watch out." Thanks for the warning Reidy!

I especially missed Uncle MiltT's Super Enduro tire changing seminar where he taught me how to pinch a tube.
