Hey John. You can get either the standard or R over here. Going to be nice all week. Just played 18 holes of golf and going for a ride. Let me know , ill meet you at Mountain Motorsports and buy you lunch

Thanks for the offer!!! This weather just makes waiting that much harder. I've got so much down at another dealer I'm sure it would be a hassle to change now.

When Yamaha did their priority delivery program you just didn't see bikes showing up as stock units at other dealers. Seems like really poor execution on KTM's part.

Enjoy your bike, get all the farkles mounted and post some photos!!

bike will be at the dealer end of this week ,early next .
But can not ride until March 15th because of provincial winter tire laws :(
and the 12 inches of snow on the ground :)

KTM does not know which bikes are sold and which are stock, they do not have a priority delivery program. The dealers that ordered full "package" quantities of street units will be the first to get the bikes regardless of deposits.

Yes, the point of putting down money was to reserve your spot with your dealer, not with KTMUSA.
If other dealers are getting bikes, and your dealer isn't, chances are you need to talk to your dealer.

Not complain about the way KTM is handling things.

Which is a bummer when your local dealer does mostly dirt bikes and still has an RC8 sitting on the floor a year later. Jan for me...

I've ridden a std., and I'd like to try an R. Figures the weather is nice this week in Asheville - next week when I'm a bit west of there, it is supposed to be rainy and cool.

Don't put your down payment for any of them before you try both. They are totally different bikes IMHO.

Wheels (17/19 vs 18/21), tires (170/50 vs 150/60), seat height, bike height, electronics, seating position, handlebar height and width, etc.

If only this winter thing would hurry up and pass...
Where did you order your? I put a deposit at Gold Coast Motorsport, But nothing yet.
