I'm curious as well. I have the Seat Concepts seat and while I'm reasonably happy with it, and it's waterproof, on really long days it still isn't as great as I think it could be. It might also be due to some interference with the seat and the tailbone pad in my riding pants though.

The seat came with the bike, so I didn't really have to make the choice myself.

Question and 2up?

I see a strong lean towards renazzco....Does this also apply for two up? or are there better options out there for that?

Should have mensioned that with the renazco to. It adds hight to my already tall S model. About an inch or two.

I have the Saddlemen ADV track seat. It stays a little damp after a soaking wet ride but is definitely more comfortable for the rider and passenger. I have not tried another brand of seat other then the stock one.

not a renazco fan. not impressed with comfort at all. russell day long owns all seats for 990, it is the best for comfort bar none. those that say renazco are more comfortable have never sat or ridden with the russell. some say it is ugly, but my ass disagrees...

Renazco on mine. Not as thrilled as I could be, the seat is no taller than the stock, but more firm. Also, up towards the tank, the seat bulges out a bit. They wanted to know my inseam to make the "right" seat, but then sent what appears to be the stock edition... I have a 35" inseam. Wrote them about it, they have yet to reply. My butt tells me that this seat is a huge improvement over the stock seat. My knees say they see zero difference. Renazco is very busy, long wait on getting the seat, they didn't return the original cover, which was brand new. Now they will not reply to emails after the sale. Again, over all a huge improvement over stock, but not exactly what I was expecting.

UPDATE - I was unfair and premature with my comment of "Now they will not reply to emails after the sale." - James Renazco himself called me to find out what he could do to help, and has offered to build me a new seat if the one delivered was not what I was expecting... That is just outstanding customer service, the mans stands behind his products 100%.

I hear the Renazco seat is the bees knees, but I wanted to throw in a vote for the Saddlemen, because I'm so happy with it.
I wanna try one of those saddlemen seats.

Nothing beats a Russell Day long for comfort.. I know people will say you need a skinny seat to ride in the dirt, but this seat lets me grip the bike with my knees and I am able to ride standing up with only 1 hand on the bars.

I've got a SeatConcepts low on my '04 950,which is good for riding dirt.I'm 5'9". But for long distance, my Russell is fantastic. I've never been uncomfortable, no matter the distance.

agreed. i rode a bunch of singletrack/hillblimb etc this past weekend, and i had no issues. going down steep hills is a little harder, but after riding the bike a few times you adapt.
