I'm testing the Kenda Parker DT next. I've heard good things and it's DOT. Otherwise I will likely run the Pirelli Scorpion Rally, which I find wears more consistently than the Michelin Desert and is less expensive. Scott's requiring a DOT tire IIRC, as per FIM regulations. My other go-to tire is the Maxxis Desert IT (but is non-DOT).

Running Michelin mousse only because there are no Mefo mousse in the US at the moment.

How do D606's and M-21's wear in sand? Everything around here is rocks.

GPS City has a great sale price on the Garmin 78 GPS. This is the biggest bang for the buck for a good off-road GPS ($189):

the Dunlop 606 with a bib is great for Mexico
If you run a tube in the 606 rear remember they have a soft side wall and come off the rim easy when you have run them flat

Scott has posted this is a novice friendly event with shortened fuel lengths so you don't need an extra large rally tank and there are plenty of ways not to be lost for ever.

If you are new to road book navigating, Dave from RMS is holding a Rally Navigation School on Sunday and Monday before the event. We will have you and the bikes there in time to participate.

Easy enough, we'll pick you up and drop you off at the Phoenix airport, arriving Saturday 3/29 and depart Sunday 4/6.

Please pm me if interested.

And a new stator.

I don't have permission and $ yet.

Working on it.

A great opportunity just presented itself to bring this back in the radar. Hopefully it'll work out. Till then, I'm still in the shadows.......

Anyone doing bike rentals for this?

All I have is a 250 4t right now, thinking that may be a bit on the small size for a race like this.

Oh stop being such a pansy. :p

Just don't follow my tracks and you'll be on course.
