Gonna race the NORRA Mexican 1000 once again. The Rally Berg rides again!

The fun will start in May. For the motos, this year's route will encompass 5 days of racing - 1,225 miles from Ensenada to San Jose del Cabo. Of that 857 miles will be racing miles offroad, and there will be another 368 miles of paved liaisons.

I'm one lucky guy, because once again Joel (NSFW) and Cory (me of hotmamaandme) have volunteered to provide chase truck assistance; and this year Robbie Nuttle (rjnutt) will also be joining the support crew. In the past two races, my support crew has made all the difference in the world - I could not have finished either race without them. It's Baja, $hit happens, and you got to be prepared for just about anything. Luckily, with this crew, I will be!

So far there are 24 moto entries; 9 in my class of +50 riders.

There's another 123 cars/trucks/buggies, and ATV entered. The car entry list is like a who's who of baja racers.

It's not too late to enter; or if you're down in Baja during that time stop by one of the overnight stops, or take some pictures of the racers on course.

It's the funnest race in Baja!

Best of luck to you, Larry. If I can free up those dates, I'll get down there and see you go by on some part of the course!

Dan's Memorial ride

I just found this thread. I had placed the tires for Dana to represent the 12 flat tired he got in the Cabo trip. I will be going down in a few weeks to pour cement in the tires.

Here are the details to the memorial ride, please let me know if I need to post it in other forums or help me share. Dana is dearly missed.

Here are the details:

Nice catfish! I need those tracks for the next time down on my 525. Pretty sure me and a couple of the San Diego boys want to give that single track a run.

Great Stuff

I'm storing a bike in San Diego by the airport for the summer and will be doing weekend trips down the Pacific side in June and July. I think I'll base out of Coyote Cal's, but open to other suggestions. I'll be leaving Friday morning/afternoons and welcome any company or rides/route recommendations. I'll be on an XR650L.

I've been to Mike's a few times. I've spent some time in Baja the last 5 years and raced/chased the NORRA Mex1k a few years ago. Most of my time has been spent between San Felipe and BoLA. I live in AZ so the Cortez side is closest, but a bit toasty in the summer months.

My wife works for an airline, so flying doesn't cost anything. She and kids are out of town in the summer and wanted to try and spend more time in Baja along the cooler pacific. I'll be flying in Fridays and leaving Sunday.
