Santa Cruz is surf city

Santa Cruz is surf city cause duke kahanankonimoki or whoever surfed the lane, and he said so.
Todd, do you ever take your board down when you ride down? There's some guys on the San Diego forums that ride/surf down south, and they know places....

Now a moto brand too, I really do hate you.

But IF you get me a job....

Santa Cruz, surf city ... Huntington Beach is SURF CITY bro, technically Surf City USA

All kidding aside, I've haven't done the board on the bike to Baja yet. Did meet a photo/journalist guy at Mike's Sky Ranch, Jon Beck (also HB guy). We talked about not only Baja bike/surf trip but a tour down into Central America. Just with I had that kind of time.

Man, I would love to ride down to Nicaragua. Offshore winds most days..
I have a friend that has property down there, right near the wave they call "BamBam". 3 - 5 feet south here in Santa Cruz, I guess you guys in Surf City are getting blocked cause of the island shadow..tch tch..

That road back on the point reminds me more of Aqua Verde.

the baja peninsula is narrow enough that one day we're on the pacific side and next day on the gulf of california.

I would like to do a Baja trip this year on my KLR.

Camping,. hoteling, pit for a race team, whatever. Been too long.

I can change flats and drink beer, I reckon I'm Baja tested, Baja approved.

(spent the evening wrenching on my bike and wondering why it hasn't been to Baja in forever)

If all works out, I will take a short baja Moto trip mid June. As the time gets closer and it looks like it will happen, I will post details.

Howdy Guys,
Im heading into Baja in the next two weeks on my way to the tip of south america.
I hope to be in San Diego Tuesday or Wednesday. Can any one recommend a good bike shop for tyres and maybe fork service for my DR.
I seem to really go through back tyres. Have used Hiedi k60, currently using a Shinko and run a dunlop 606 on ft.
Any suggestions for Baja??
I want to get the ferry across from Lapz to Mazatlan. Anyone know what the cost is for a bike and one passenger.
I could find any prices for bikes on the ferries web site.
Thanks for your help
Eddy
