We're hoping to have the RV back from the Dealership in time this week its gonna be close. We lost the Transmission about two weeks ago and its been "Waiting on Parts" for at least a week. Good news... Bikes are all ready to ride!!

Wow sorry you've had to deal with that issue. I've been going the last 12yrs, started camping in the lower lot down by the river in a tent when I couldn't afford an RV & never had a problem with the 10PM campground curfew! It's been pretty well enforced most yrs I've gone with the exception of 5~6yrs ago when the temp dropped into the 30's & it had rained on folks all day.

You got to admit.... The trails are always a blast! Well worth the trip!

Well.............not to shit in your thread but, the trails USED TO be
awesome, then they started putting waterbreaks on every hill.
Its like a long series of whoop-de-doos up and down. They used to just
put em where absolutely needed, but now theyre everywhere.
I think its kind of a victim of its own success. Once the numbers got
up toward a 1000 riders, the deputies started patrolling the campground
like a prison yard. The last year I was there, the deputies came around
10 and told us not to put any more wood on our small campfire and I
woke up to a 40ft rv literally parked on my shoes outside my tent.
Many years ago we'd sneak out for a late night ride, now, youd
probably be arrested. I love what this event used to be, but not what
its become. Just my .02

Tony I have to agree that a few years back the COPS and Sheriffs department got way too involved with this event but that was the SPRING Trail Ride held by the Middle Tennessee Trail Riders who's club is made up of a bunch of COPS that Like to over extend their realm of influence. I;ll leave it at that.

This Fall Ride organized by Tommy (cant remember his last name now) from the Souther Woods Riders is a great guy and he hasn't allowed the place be overrun with cops unless some of the jackasses that need to be run off get a visit. As for the night ride, there's been an organized Night Ride on Friday Night for the past couple years. We camp down in the lower lot have a pretty raging fire most all night and have never had a problem and yes I even have one of those 40+ft motorhomes now. I ususally park next to the only Electrical pole in the lower lot right next to the Black School bus.

I'm really supprised more ADV riders dont attend this event.

Ya, it just got too big/crowded for me. . The "emergency/outs" off the main trail were some awesome riding years ago too.
They followed something like a dry high ridge creekbed that went for miles
and was super fast and wide.
We used to ride the gncc's there and have a blast too. I saw a girl tumble all the way down a big hill there 1 year. She ran across the track at the top
of a big hill, got scared seeing racers comin up at her, and stumbled and rolled down the hill, and I passed her on the way up. Funny as hell, hope she was alright

I'm pre-registered & the Leopard is tuned up & ready to GO!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMRsaJFtM9c

Generators won't bother me cuz I'm only 45 minutes away, so I sleep at home & haul my tired old carcass to L.L.s in time for the 10 O'clock riders meeting each day. This is my favorite organized ride (spring & fall) of the year but, I'm still a new commer to this event & don't remember how great it was many years back. However the more I think about it, life itself was better many years ago with less rules & more Freedom as a whole.

A knee injury has ended my racing days (just a trail rider now) so this is a chance for me to drool over all the exotic & vintage bikes (Gas Gas, Ossa, Beta, Bultaco, Can-Am, Maico etc.) that I don't see in my daily travels through the local woods.

For those of you attending... Get some good video of this years trails please. I'll need my fix!

2013 is just a bad luck year I guess. Last Spring I only got to ride the main trail twice & this Fall I only hit it once.

Friday: My daughter & I rode 6 laps on the novice trail & her bike got hung up when she pulled over to let others by. I was all excited to be riding my favorite event & snatched the bike (instead of a slow steady pull) & heard a pop in my elbow & felt pain too. Went home.

Saturday: My elbow was so sore I was afraid I'd wipe out on the trail, so we sat saturday out.

Sunday: Elbow felt 80% better so we went for it. Rode 2 laps on novice trail with my daughter just to make sure she was warmed up, before I left her alone on the novice trail while I did a loop on the main.

My goal was to ride the entire main trail without stopping once but, traffic stopped up twice at big hills. Once I pulled over to let faster guys by & got stuck in a hole for 30 seconds or so. Another time I was restarting after the crowd finally went up a big hill & I stalled out & slid backwards 10 or 20 feet before I restarted & made it. Other than that, I was rolling forward with great authority the whole time.

I felt like I was riding very well & was SO excited to watch the video BUT, I think my Gopro is dying. It took way over an hour to load the Gopro footage from the novice trail on Friday.

I still haven't been able to load the footage from Sunday but, I might still have a chance or two of getting it. Does anyone know how long a Gopro Hero 2 normally lasts? Mine is around 1.5 years of heavy use & I've always noticed that it gets very hot by the time the battery runs out.

I finally got the Gopro footage to upload onto my computer but, I still couldn't get it to work on youtube. I ended up loading in crappy def. just to get it on youtube.

This is part 1 & the rest will eventually end up on my youtube channel. Hopefully I can get future parts to upload on a higher def. setting.
