Ok, got a pic of my mounted dimmer, stuck to the front of the handlebar mount of F800GS.

Put my order in on Friday; got an order confirmation but nothing else yet. Its current status is "Third Party Approved" -- what does this mean?

Looking forward to getting these lights. They seem fantastic.

That's the problem with the Tiger800s it's pretty bare with nothing you could drill a hole into. this is the best "behind the screen" shot I've got.

I think I'll stick with it stuck to the handlebar clamp for now.
As for it being switched with the ignition, the plug under the tank does seem to be switched through the main headlamp relay. So that's where I'll take the feed from.
Really my question above was to see what, where and how others have done it as there's always someone coming up with an alternative that hadn't crossed my mind.
Cheers. H.

P.S. thanks for the photo Shawnee Bill.

Worth every penny of that price.

Sorry, I guess the update I posted wasn't easy to find with a quick scan. We're waiting on a new shipment at the moment and pending orders will be shipping on Friday. Also noted on the order page on the site.

Were back ordered on the LR4 until next week, and the remaining from this deal will be shipped when they arrive. Once we've gone through this batch, dimmers will be a $20 option with a pair of lights.

You're pretty close, so if you want to check them out in person, we can arrange that. Happy to help with mounting and wiring as well for local pickups, just need to know in advance :)

Got my LR4s wired in today. Took quite a while trying to get things tucked away and fairly neat.
It's just got dark here and, unfortunately I can't move the bike because it has no rear shock in it. So I opened the garage rear door and lit up these bad boys the garden was like daylight.

Who needs a shock? It's a Tiger hardtail :). Take any pictures of the final install?

FYI - all but one pending order shipped out today. And we're out of the free dimmer deals :(. Thanks for all the orders ADV folks :).

Hell yea buddy! Mine shipped today and I wasn't to late for the dimmer. Now to make a dash for the Dr so I can control all of the new toys easier. Sounds like a weekend job to me, I still have a 12 pack in the fridge.

I mounted them below the brackets to give better separation to the indicators which I have moved next to the headlamps to get them out of the way in a fall. It will also allow me to mount my camera on top of the brackets.

With them on the camera can't cope.
Dimmest.

Brightest.

Got my lights today heavier then I thought.
They look nice.

Mounting them on a WR250R so looks like a no brainer to me remove side reflectors install lights.
But I do have one question....

I have Highway Dirt Bikes hand guards and top clamp which accepts switches.

How does the dimmer come apart ?
I would like to remotely mount the Pot.
The insides on the dimmer potted?
Anyone take one apart?

I know this would void any warranty...although the thing was free so probably no warranty

Thanks
Fred
