Has anyone else noticed that Marquez's helmet doesn't cover below his chin?

Far left- Masao Furusawa, correct? The VR's friend and inside man at Yamaha, although now retired.

And who took the photo?

Mandatory pit stop because of poor-performing tires (and resultant team/rider screw-up) may cost an outstanding rider a World Championship? Wow. Hard to believe they could be so fragile as to only last 10 laps. I know the tires are under severe stress blah blah blah, but really? I quit buying Bridgestone MC tires long ago, but still love them for my 3/4-ton 4X4 truck (on which I get about 40,000 miles out of a tire).

Yeah, what a strange day at Phillip Island and I sincerely hope Japan's race won't be decided by the weather or tire issues but rather by the rider, bike, and team's efforts. I realize everyone races under the same conditions and rules, but it still is a shame the race was decided by that. Even so, I was thrilled to see Valentino take another podium; he had to fight for it and had a great ride! Also pleased to see that Hayden did so well after his previous race with the engine failure; he wasn't a happy man after that. I'm looking forward to seeing what Nicky can do on a more competitive bike.

I can't believe the season is almost over .

Doug

MM93 seems to handle pressure just fine.

And I΄m not sure he is even feeling any pressure, because
a) he IS a rookie, who has already turned MotoGP world upside down, title or not and
b) what happened at PI was a really bizarre screw-up involving his team, and even the organisers, but MM himself only did what he was told to do. If anything, it might make him even more determined.

(But his team should really ask themselves, WTF happened, and try to do better from now on.)

Codewife and I were talking about this this weekend. It seems like he wears his helmet far up on his forehead, hence the pokey-outey chin.
