What a fiasco, at least no one got hurt.
Surely they knew the WSB boys were having tyre issues at PI months ago?
Maybe Brigestone & the teams got arrogant thinking it was a Pirrelli issue?
Piss up's & brewery's..

I'm glad you said that.... as I thought I saw a red laser pointer too.
Not only on the start but as he tipped it into the first corner laps later.

Race was exciting... but not in a good way.
It was like V8 Supercars meets MotoGP.

Having a bigger Pit window of say 3 laps would have solved a few issues. 3 Riders Black Flagged.... bit harsh for an 11th hour rule that has NEVER been seen before.

Let the kids just go racing....

How the hell was that the best race ever? It was a total cluster fuck from the word GO. Utter disappointment and as mdubya said, an embarrassment for motogp.

Yikes. Still digesting what happened in that race here, but if nothing else it certainly spices up what was a foregone conclusion in the title chase.
It's still Marquez' to lose but he will have to stay sharp. With Pedrosa's mistake as well...lots of head scratching going on in the Honda team I'm sure.

Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity

Where was Alex Marquez during this time?

Unsurprisingly JLo executes perfectly.

With injuries to JLo and Pedrosa this race is just one more caveat in this season if you want to roll that way.

From Marques himself:

After the race Marquez explained his team as a whole had believed completing lap 11 was permitted.
He stated, "The plan we had was not correct, we though that we could do that lap. We thought we could go into the pit at the end of lap 11. The problem was not with the pit board, that was fine, when I saw ‘Box’ I came in. Now we need to forget about it and just concentrate in Motegi."

I was very surprised to hear JLo take most of the blame for the pit exit contact with MM on himself. Did JL actually go wide there? Otherwise I don't see, how you could get out of pits, and straight into the racing line in a place, where those on a flying lap ride 300 kms per hour.

For those who think the pit entry mistake was MM's own, he claims he followed his pit board, which turned out to be wrong (so the team screwed that one up). At least according to MM.

Yeah, fiasco is a good word.
I can't believe Team Honda could have such a cock up of a weekend.

JLo definitely has the look of determination in his eyes.

I think we've witnessed the maturation of JLo these last 2 seasons into an adult that's comfortable in who he is and has no need for the silly theatrics anymore. He's also a hell of a racer.

Last year Team Honda screwed Pedrosa up real good, the tyre warmer fiasco > back of the grid you go > collected by another rider DNF.
