Looks like DORNA is making it up (last minute) as they go.

Hey....at the next race let's have the field eat 15 hot dogs (or Tapas for the 3 aliens) then do a dozen push-ups before push starting their bikes and doing 2 laps of the parking area.....then racing 500 Kilometers.

Why not?

The organizers need new ideas. Let's make them less stupid than what they came up with today.

Fat old men up in their ivory towers- Maybe they have been watching too much NASCRAP

Amen.

Dunlops had the same problems, so it's a bit harsh to dump it all on bridgestone. Highlight of the day was moto 3

Alex Briggs cleared it up replying to his fans(me) like a BOSS because he's awesome after I asked about it.

You're right, it's not just Bridgestone. It's Dunlop and Dorna as well. Nobody tested tyres at a track EVERYONE KNEW had been resurfaced and was hard on tyres. Instead they did a PR event in South America for a race that's not on until next year.

To cover up their combined incompetence, they re-wrote the rules several times, in the process creating a dangerous situation in the pits (which are known to be tight) and then exacerbating it by extending the 60kmh zone, making absolutely sure riders re-entered the track at a massive speed differential to those already out there.

In communicating these unexpected and inexplicable rules to the teams, they chose to send out a piece of paper, rather than hold a rider's briefing which would have negated all doubt.

The situation is so embarrassing that mainstream radio in Melbourne were discussing it this morning despite the fact that MC racing usually only gets a mention when someone dies or an Australian wins a WC.

It was a tense race, for sure, but FFS someone SHOULD get dumped for this - and I do not mean a rider or team.

PS. I was massively entertained though.

I wonder if HRC will now consider bringing Stoner in for the next couple of rounds to play a numbers game!

It would be priceless for them if after every race the racers were raving about how good the tires are: "I might have only got 8th, but damn the tires were soooo good I could believe it." Priceless.

Instead the tires are always less than great and Bridgestone makes endless excuses about the cost of producing something better. Can't. Won't. Don't.

Fuck if I would ever pay for a Bridgestone.
Fucked if I would ever receive a Bridgestone for FREE, let alone pay for one.

fixafied it for you.

This was artificial entertainment, combined with monumental errors in communication, which turned out to have a massive impact on the championship.

The only thing Iīm glad about is, that nobody was killed or injured because of this mayhem, but that was more down to sheer luck, than anything else (MM/JL collision). In short, it was total bullsh*t crap fed to us by Dorna, who were caught pants down together with B-stone. But if that entertains you, then good for you.

A bit like these. ( all relative, of course..) Actually, next to the Hondas and Yams, everything else looks like a backyard job.
