Tracks on a Garmin 276C
Anyone have any input on which "Interval" to use for tracking on a 276c?
My options are Distance, Time and Resolution. I am most concerned for using it off road, and would like to figure out which option is best for that.
and the inevitable follow-up questions:
1) If Distance is the way to go, how far apart should I space the tracking points?
2) If Time is the way to go, how often should I space the tracking points?
3) If Resolution is the way to go, you know the rest.
thanks in advance for your input!!

This is one of those "it depends" answers but my pref is to use "Resolution" if I want an accurate Track (lots of intersections that I'm not familiar with in the boonies) and "Distance" if I already have a Route I'm navigating to but want a Track anyway in case I decide to go off-Route. I usually set the Distance to 200ft. so I can store lots of Tracks on a long tour (days) before uploading to PC.
Still good to "Save" your Tracks whenever you stop for a brake.
