I got back into the US 2 days ago, called Chaparral yesterday to ask them if they'd honor my order that they canceled, they said they would. THEN, when the girl on the phone realized what I was ordering she said "oh, that was that glitch". So they mis-marked the price online, 50 inmates on here ordered 2 rears and then they caught it and corrected the price. They THEN told me that they wouldn't honor the price, even though I ordered my tires when the price was messed up. So for all of you who ordered them on the cheap, congrats to you. As for Chaparral Motorsports, they can suck it.

Does anyone have an idea why the price of a D908 went up from the original around $125 to over $200 anyway??? Oil didn't rise that much during that time. Were they just sucking us in with a cheap price to get us hooked? I can't believe they are selling anywhere near the volume when the price was low. Other tires didn't double in price (nearly) in that time?

Supply and demand is why. The 908 word got out...for a reason. The hands down, best tire I've used on the SE. The best for me at least.

FWIW, I'm convinced the older 908's had a harder compound and lasted noticeably longer than the latest version.

As for the pricing, two bills a pop sure does suck ass. Dunlap is just doing what the market will allow, greedy bastids.

worth it

As another inmate said recently, $200 for a rear 908 is the price of admission if you want to push these bikes off-road. Worth every penny, but glad I got two at this price while it lasted!
