Geoff May announced his involvement last week; more details here:

Good news. Never met the man, but always liked what I've read about Eric. I wish the team well, and hope to see a competitive effort from them.

Er, where do you get that there will be 2 EBR teams in WSB? They haven't even confirmed a 2nd RIDER on the EBR team.

I mis-quoted. The article does say there will be two riders, which I assume (I know, I know) means two sets of bikes and pit crews.

Ahh, ok, I follow ya now.

I'm kinda torn on who I want to see in the 2nd seat. May is pretty good, but I'd like to see someone like Eslick, or maybe even Aquino or Jacobsen in there. But I also know it's going to be a struggle to get decent results in the coming year on such an untested bike. I'd hate to see a good, young talent loose too much face trying to make it work. I just hope they don't take Aaron Yates. I like him, but he's past his best by a long shot.

Seems like Eslick had better results on the EBR than he did on the Jordan Suzuki, so maybe he would be a good fit. Either way, I'm just happy to read about a team joining WSBK instead of leaving or cutting back.

Maybe this thread could be merged into Yooper's 2014 WSBK thread?

When I talked to the EBR guys at the AIM Expo they weren't sure if the second rider would be from the USA or from overseas. Someone in WSBK now with experience at all the tracks could really help the program.

I, for one, welcome our Buell overlords.

Now if they would just sign Eugene Laverty, that would be perfect

I would love to see that but Eugene will be offered a better ride most likely. With BMW leaving and Ducati's having problems maybe they could land a decent rider but I doubt it will be a top tier guy. Here's to hoping I'm wrong
