I'm occasional % off road. That't how I define it. What are we defining this for, again?

I think so we'll know which tires to chose? Or how much beer to carry.

The real question is, how well does a car tire do off-road.

terrible as far as the handling, but excellent traction

looking back, less than 1% of my riding is off road, but % doesn't tell the story, with 135k on my SV650, I still have over 1000 miles of off road

100% of my riding is offroad, or so damn close as makes no difference.
I live on 1,200 acres, have access to 5,000, and am right next door to 15-20,000ac of state forest.
Don't currently own a registered bike, in fact my IT250 and XL100 are the only running bikes I own, so riding the 800m or so up the main road to get to the rest of said 5,000ac is as much road riding as I do.
I don't count farm tracks, single track and firetrails as road.

i have always went by mileage, i don't pay attention to the time or how long i ride i just go when i want and wrap up when i'm sore, bored, low on gas or it's starting to get too muddy so i have no clue by time spent.
i think it needs to be a 3 part thing.
by miles i think i am at 15% offroad, 30% unpaved, 55% on road.

i consider offroad anything that's narrower then 1.5 cars and rougher then ophir pass. unpaved and on road are self explanatory

Then my driveway counts as off-road.

(Don't tell my wife or she'll be asking for a 4wd car!)

Jumping in at the end here...

How much dirt do I ride?
When asked that I say 5 or 10%.
It's not millage, or time but fun....
5 or 10% of the fun I have riding is on dirt.
Some rides are big fun, some are a little fun, some are just kinda fun and a few are no fun at all, but still beat a cage.
