I´m glad you enjoyed this report. I did enjoy this trip a lot, and I am blessed to have Leonora, my wife, who also loves adventure and supported me to go there, taking care of our daughter Lara and baby Marina during the two weeks.
Lara was also very curious about the trip, she gave me her school bag for the kids and asked me plenty of questions watching the pics
I´ve done a number of adventure rides, from France to Russia in 1994 to 15.000km off-road in all corners of Morocco, latest in 2011, ridden in 20 countries or more.
But nowhere I´ve been where riding is such a pleasure than in Madagascar. This country is blessed by the most various and fantastic landscapes, and the most biker friendly, enthusiast people, and an intimate experience one can only get riding off-road there into the bush. Nothing of what is or happens there can be compared to the life in Western countries, but all is so welcoming it seems so familiar after some time. One is also free to travel everywhere, there is always a solution to everything, mora-mora (slow down, it seems something like "keep cool and take a breath") is the local way of life.
That´s why I called it Kingdom of off-road adventure. An Eldorado at least...
I was lucky to be there with the right people, our old team, our matador, and the lively humour of Thierry.
I point here to Andrea´s Thierry´s homepage: www.cardarally.com/en for the north of Mada. Thierry´s data: email@example.com, tel. +261 320712575. He has the skills and a good network for organising your a-la-carte adventure.
Another link I found where you may get possibilities to rent a bike or discover other parts of Mada:
Ride, on and on...
PS: following Tiffany´s current ride report in Mada...

Whew the adventure finished, and you took us along with you for the ride, thank you. I'm currently on Nosy Be writing this, gazing out at a beautiful blue ocean.
I especially like the photos at the end where you guys are all dusty, tired and yet grinning together!
and yes, it has got hot in the north of Madagascar, I start my riding at 5.30am in the morning to make the most of the cool hours.
Thank you again Franck.
