Oh yeah, Duh, the threads for local(ish) riders are the cat herders and NOVA chatter...and don't overlook the local tag games.

What bike(s) do you own/ride?
I won't go through my list of past rides (a lot of adv bikes) but am now on a Honda NC700X.

Any recommended routes other than the obvious 33 211. A friend of mine rides a Kaw 600 super sport something or other and we have been sticking to blacktop.

I have a new tomtom rider gps and could download routes. I have retired my garmin 2610 and 26something else. Retiring the garmins may have been a mistake. We will see. The new tomtom desplays the speed limit sign on gps along with actual speed. When your speed exceeds the limit by 4 or 5 mph the indicated speed shows up in a red bar. Within a couple of mph and the speed is shown in a green bar. Pretty annoying.

Man you know it! I just sold a Wee and like a dumb ass I decided to let my Garmin ZUMO go with it!

I was going to "upgrade" but hadn't done my homework until after the sale. The unit I was interested in(Montana) doesn't have near the features the ZUMO has. To add insult to injury I missed a good deal on a ZUMO in the flea market by a couple hours today!

Routes. Here's a nice one...

Head down thru Fort Valley, over to Edinburg, Columbia Furnace, Wardensville WV, Star Tannery, Zepp to Back Rd. Enjoy.

You can get on 55 West, ride 'till you're tired and then come back.

There are no bad roads over here.

For paved stuff check out Mt Storm (42), Rt 250, Smoke Hole Rd. Old rt 55, Moyers Gap Rd from Reddish knob all the way over to rt 220. CR21, 219 down around Snowshoe/Marlinton. Rt 66 through Cass. Rt15 & Rt 20 out by Webster Springs & Holly river State park. The list of great roads that can be ridden in a day ride out here is pretty endless!

We should start a gang, I mean social club. 'Helltown's Heroes'. I know a couple more we could recruit.

Or just get together for a Sunday ride .

Head down Rt 522 towards Flint Hill and hang a left on Hume Rd or Crest Hill, loops can be made using Leeds Manor rode, etc. Twisty with some fun elevation changes. A good lunch loop.

I was thinking this could be the "Helltown inmates" thread. Maybe the "NWVA inmates" thread. We'll need one if we get anymore inmates moving here. I could get Retro to change the name.

I'd be up for a Sunday ride in the near future. we're closing up the shop for the Winter here. After next week, I should have mucho time to ride and tag.

Hey FTSU, did you get your tires mounted?

I hope everything went smoothly. I'm thinking of purchasing a HF tire changer(both pieces). With a couple mods they do a great job, so I'm told.
