Supersport will be good for us Homers if PJ is in the mix: http://motomatters.com/results/2014/...sland_tes.html

Check the fine print. Word is the 24.90 package doesn't include live racing, just 7-day delay.

...And if you're willing to wait 7 days to watch the races, then you might as well do like I did last year and just wait until the EuroSport broadcast gets posted on YouTube!

Also, it takes a loooooong time to get one to the end of the front straight, if Soup is to be believed. 174mph from the EBR vs. 199 from the Aprilia . . .

I read that last year the Kawasakis and the Aprilias were pushing 240 hp, which is a good 20-25 hp more than I would have guessed. That may be down a bit this year as they only have 8 engines to last the season but I can see why twins would have trouble keeping pace.

I love a twin on a road bike but with the electronics these days equalizing out the advantages twins used to have on the track, it may be their day has passed for racing.

Trap speeds for the EBRs were around 185mph at Daytona in 2013 while the Graves Yamahas and Yosh Suzukis were at 200mph and above. I'm guessing Road America would have the next fastest top speeds and the archives show the Yamahas and Suzukis at between 177 (Herrin) and 183 (Cardena and Hayes). May was at 170 on the EBR.

They are going to struggle with top speed against the I-4's.

Don't count on that. Dorna runs the show now, and they're pretty hard ass at nuking YouTube stuff fast.

Yup, Dorna killed the youtube channel I had been watching about 4 or 5 races before the end of the season. Best I could find after that was a french feed. Will be worth the $100 not to have to hear that commentary again.

Ouch indeed. I can see more of that in his future this year. LOVE to be proved wrong though...
