Its painful to see the EBR's so far off the pace.

Everything is new to EBR; tires, electronics, wheels, fuel.

Not sure if there has been a lack of preparation in that area or if they were prohibited from being more prepared.

The absolute lack of pace looks pretty bad, though.

Was there anything linked to that timing that showed the number of laps? Since this may or may not be the first time the bike has run in anger on a proper race track, perhaps these were just shake down runs? I don't expect them to be competitive this year at all, but 8+ seconds would be close to what the gap would be to the stock bike I would think.

Whats the cutoff to qualify for a race?
I think the AMA used to be 106% of pole.
I dont know if WSBK has a similar restriction.
It would be very embarrassing not to even qualify to be in the race.

Read somewhere they couldn't run the afternoon session due to mechanical issues.

Interesting read...

http://www.mcnews.com.au/aaron-yates...buell-to-wsbk/

They had to add an additional gas tank? Adding weight to Eric's balanced design can't be good for this bike.

Also, from the article is sounds as though its the same exact bike as what they ran in AMA last year. Another odd one.....

First picture of the EBR I have seen to date in WSBK trim.

Well the Buells look good. I hope they find the missing 7 seconds. Hopefully Erik and company haven't bitten off more than they can chew.

EBR had engine failures on both bikes and spare engines were stuck in customs. Had to call it a day...

Me liking the new MV race colours:

But they're not in the EVO class, correct?
