haha, it's just margarine, specifically something with no dairy in it. Kroger sells a few brands in the refrigerator case by Health Foods, notably Earth Balance. However, most all margarine is vegan, if it doesn't have milk or egg listed as an allergen, it's almost certainly vegan.

You rock!

Oh, and, no vegans will specifically avoid butter, (really, NO animal products, including dairy, eggs, etc).

Don't worry fellas, I've seen the boy eat a BBQ Pork sandwich. He just says he's vegan to piss people off.

No joke... I shared a site with him last trip, fortunately Toni showed up and kept him busy that night.

I'm gonna cut fruit roll-ups into undie shapes and leave a trail away from the fire to his tent. Just in case.

Hey guys, Ken was asking what the plans for this weekend ride are: will there be LBL gravel riding Friday? Saturday? Sunday? He said he's not interested in doing Turkey Bay and I don't have a bike for it, however I told my son that if he wanted to ride it I would take the 4-wheeler out there and hang out while he rides. (He's not a definite IN.)

Matt? Any ideas or tentative itineraries?

Thanks!
Lisa

Nothing set in stone, but what I imagine will happen:

Friday - Arrive at noon or so. I'm not sure that they will actually let us check in before 4:30, but I'm going to call them early in the week and see what they will do for us. If they won't let us set up early, I'll see if we can dump our gear somewhere until later.
Hopefully around 2pm, take off and ride for a few hours. Roll back into camp around 5-6pm.

Saturday - I am still flip flopping on riding Turkey Bay myself. I suspect we will have at least two riding groups on Satuday, Turkey Bay, and not-Turkey Bay.

Sunday - Hopefully the weather is a little nicer, and we ride longer this time around. Unfortunately, it looks like a 60% chance of rain on Friday right now, 10-day forecast doesn't cover the weekend yet.

So, basically, I'm planning on some gravel Friday and Saturday right now. There is a chance I may do some very mild stuff on Friday afternoon, or Saturday morning. I've invited a buddy of mine that is on a VStrom 1000 to come and cut his teeth a bit more on gravel. If he comes out, the two of us may head out on our own as the rest of you might find it a bit slow.

Does that help any?

I suggested that we do Turkey Bay this time around but, it was never confirmed that we would. If it's dry, I don't think anyone who rode with us in the Spring event would have any problems on the novice trail.

If we end up NOT doing Turkey Bay, I have no doubt the weekend is still going to be a blast. The Spring event was a hoot & I've honestly never had a bad day of riding at LBL.
