Looking for public Scale in San Francisco Bay Area

I would like to know how much my bike weighs. I have a glass bathroom scale and I'm worried I might break it when trying to weight my bike.

Does anyone know of any public scales I could take my bike to that are in the bay area?

Go to a gravel pit and scale your bike there.

Or to the local dump. I had my wife's sidecar weighed for $6

I lower my passenger pegs for those riders that have gone before me

Back on topic: Scrapyards will also have weight scales.

If your bathroom scale will go up to 300 lbs., you can do it there. Just make a platform equal to the height of the weighing surface of the scale. Put one tire up on the scale, the other tire on the platform. Balance the bike as best as possible and make note of weight and then swap ends; putting the tire that was previously on the platform on the scale. Make note of the second weight. Add the two weights together. You have the total weight. This method will only be accurate if the tires are level at the time the weights are recorded.
