I used to take my DSLR Canon on rides; Over time I realized the smaller camera was so much easier to use I ended up taking many more photos and having better RR because of this. Enjoying your report, thanks for taking the time to share it.

Wednesday I prepared for my journey back to South Australia into the
Flinders Ranges. I bought new groceries and tried to seal my rain gear
to be ready for the forecasted rain.

As it turned out my attempt to repair the rain gear did not work at
all. After just half an hour on the road on Thursday I was soaked to
the skin. Close to the coast it was still all right to drive because
it was not to cold but getting inland I started to freeze. I had to
stop after just 300 km because it got to bad. This time I did not care
about money and got a hotel room in the town Chinchilla. I turned the
air condition as hot as possible to dry my cloth, had a hot shower and
changed into dry cloth that was better.

I remember finding your RR when you first started it back when I was working the desk job. I think I zoned out or something because now it looks like I have a lot of catching up to do. Looks great man, awesome trip!

Great to see you are still enjoying our country Dom.

You have seen more of it than many of us who have lived here all our lives!

I will be back in that area so there might be a chance to go that way

I don't regret switching, at all.
I have all the same functions but a lot smaller size and now the cam is always in my pocket when I go somewhere without the bike

When I woke up in the morning I felt ready to cover some distance. It
had rained all night but stopped in the early morning, it was warmer
than the day before and so I was on the back on the road at 7 in the
morning. I made it to Quilpie 660km away from Chinchilla this day. The
weather was perfect, not to hot and no more rain.

But there were the outback flies, lots and lots of flies everywhere. I
have never seen so many flies before.

Oh, yeah. Fkn flies! I'm in Coober Pedy just now (having a little adventure of my own, RR to follow) and the one thing I was not prepared for is the unfknblvble flies! In ya eyes, ears and in ya mouth if you don't talk through your teeth like a local. Aaaaargh.
Still lovin' your work Dom. Safe travels.
