Question AZ GSW dealers?

Hi,
I'll likely be coming to Phoenix Nov 9-18 with my wife for the national
pickleball tournament in Buckeye.
I'm in MN and getting serious about a new GSW. We are currently trying to find a rental place for the month of Feb. I am considering buying a new GSW in AZ in Feb to have for that month and ride home.

1. Any suggestions on dealers to visit in November (Phoenix/Tucson)?
What dealer(s) should I visit? Talk to anyone special?
You can post or PM or email bsmutka@gmail.com

2. I don't travel a lot and am searching for car rentals. I have a good discount from Hertz but there seems to be no "near the Phoenix airport" Hertz. Folks seem to say, don't rent at the airport. Any ideas?

Thanks

I had great service from Iron Horse Motorcycles in Tucson while I was stationed near there.

Go see Scott Severs at GOAZ 480-609-1800 in Scottsdale. Top notch dealer.

Iron Horse beats anything in Phoenix hands down (and I can't say that about many things in Tucson). We had a valve cover issue on a ride and called the dealer in Phoenix...the guy didn't even know the difference between a HP2 and a Rockster. The Iron Horse people not only knew the difference, but rode the part up 50 miles to deliver it to us at the scene of the issue. Iron Horse has to be one of the best BMW dealers in the West.

The only thing I'd buy in Tucson is a Taco.

If we told you, you'd probably buy one.

I've always heard good things about Iron Horse in Tucson. It's a smaller, friendly, family-owned place. But I live in Scottdale (NE Phx) and have bought my last four bikes at GOAZ. I'll likely buy my next four from them also. It's very large, flashy, and owned by the guy who started GoDaddy. Even if you don't buy from them, it's a great (huge) place to go in and browse.

That said, I don't know what kind of inventory they might have on the floor for a GSW. They may still be hard to find.

There's also a Victory BMW dealership in Chandler (SE side of Phx). I occasionally see a recommendation to it, but I have no reason to go down to it.

Oh, it's a big airport, and there's a car rental center a couple of miles west of the airport. You take a bus to it. It's big.

Buckeye is on the west side of town; and GOAZ is off the freeway on the NE side, in North Scottsdale. Expect to spend an hour on the freeway getting there. Or two hours south on the freeway and Interstate to Tucson. Heck, if you have time, go to both dealerships and decide for yourself. And if you have some free days to fill, go up to Sedona/Jerome/Prescott one day, out to Superior/Miami/Globe/Winkelman for a day, and maybe up to Payson/Mormon Lake/Flagstaff for a day.

Just kidding, I've heard a lot about Iron Horse and all of it good. The dealer in Mesa was Victory BMW and I think they were bought by "Ride Now", so you know what that means. GOAZ is a big place but it can be like a small shop also, I've bought 4 BMW's from them and two Ducati's and three KTM's all from the same salesman. Best part, they have DEMO"S!!! When you ask how long you can take them out they say take as long as you need. I've sent two guys down to test ride the GSW and both put a deposit down when they got back.

Thanks to all for input.
I went to a local dealer to look at Klim jackets and they had 2014 Ducati MStrada GT on the floor. Very nice.
I might try GOAZ as BMW GSW and Duc are my top two/only two considerations.
Who was your salesman? Post or PM is fine
Thanks
I'd like to get to Iron Horse too---we'll see if that's in the cards...

Same reason someone would go looking for a KIA?
