This gear is developed by the leading designers of transponder technologies http://www.mylaps.com/

Their approach is different then copying what was on the market already, indeed. But I wouldn't call it a gimmick.

These are not guys working out of a shed, or people with limited experience. They work with timing solutions and printing boards on a daily basis.

This all should warrant for a bit more credibility from our end.

Loads of thought and design has gone into these. Just because it is new to advrider doesn't mean it is a gimmick

Anyway, innovation is good and not always easy, kiss is the way to go and removing or changing the main faults from previous designs, sensor cables/ menu structures/ moist problems, will be a benefit to us all.

Will keep you posted on the progress, if any or none

You should contact RNS directly. Not sure what's going on over there.

Dave
I can't speak for him, but pretty sure this is about time for exams over there.

Tony is a brilliant kid that is still in school while running a business part time, that has set new standards and put competitors on their heels, you might have to wait a bit for the best in reliability and functionality, but it's worth it to get what the best factory teams have.

Thanks Paul.

I just remembered RM selling them too, but I guess w/ the new official partnership between RN & ICO, Dave has to stick w/ ICO.

That is why I suggested that you ask him directly.

He removed his own products from his own site several months ago. If he isn't selling them, and if I can't get them, then I can't sell them either. So, I removed them from my site, too.

It's that simple.

So, anyone have any new tips and tricks, so that this doesn't become a supply chain management thread?

Dave

Best is to contact the suppliers in your relevant country and ask them - if people keep emailing Tony it just means more time taken for him to reply rather than work

So supplier wise, that's Dave RMS for the USA

Us (moto rally services) for the UK (though we have been sending units to Russia, Sweden, Mexico, Spain etc - we have only 2 units left of the current batch)

Owaka For France
Enduro4u for germany
Moto x for Benelux

I've had issues with my ICO, zeroing out or locking up mid ride. Sent it back to ICO and they told me it was ok, they all do that sometimes. At the time I was just adjusting tens of a mile, not turning back large numbers; and I was running on 12V.

Update: ICO got in touch with me and is exchanging the unit for a new one. Now that's customer service.

Dan, I'm glad that I could resolve your situation. I wish you'd have let me help earlier and save you the frustration.

Folks, I couldn't really say much until the deal was complete, but I have recently taken ownership of the ICO Racing brand and products. I'm looking forward to applying my background in software and product development to work on exciting new products for us rally nuts. And also to providing great service! We'll have some more announcements coming really soon.

In the meantime, please feel free to contact me directly about all things ICO.

ICO Checkmate

My checkmate unit has recently been going nut as soon as I hit 35 mph....fluctuating between zero and 35. Could that be a magent/sensor issue, or an issue with the unit itself?

Thanks in advance
