Exactly, these guys are Pros and it wasnt a take out move. Go to an AMA National Mile race and watch the fast guys rubbing handlebars/wheels/knees/elbows at 100+ mph, they know what they're doing, nobody cries and whines.

SX is a show, meant to be more spectacle then race, meant to make $.

Real racing goes on outdoors.

Barcia is frustrated he can't do on the big bikes what he did on the 250 and it shows. Kid can ride but he sounds dumber than a box of hammers when interviewed. Says the same stuff in every session. Shit like he did to Roczen is nowhere near what Hannah,Weinert,Staten (well maybe Rex ) ect. did to each other.

I do not believe he will be a SX Premier Class Champ.

Not everybody does that.

Don't forget Bo Bo Baggett has been hurt and is just resuming riding.
He stayed within sight of the wonder kid the whole race.

AC will be the next big thing.
It just won't be this year.

You might be right there,Barcia has been on a 450 a while now with no win streak to show for it. He IS spectacular at times and good for the show.

Also right about Weinert/Hannah/Staten back in the day, instilling fear in your fellow competitor is part of the game. Rocket Rex was just flat out and dont get in his way,he may have been riding junk sometimes but always rode like a raving maniac.

Blatant Take-Out moves seem pretty well accepted in the corners at SX,its all racing right?

Bagget did seem pretty jazzed about passing AC,till he did so, and the kid slammed him right back into 2nd.
Kinda looked like it took the wind out of him.

I just thought it was neat to see a new kid winning, makes the racing more interesting.

It is a fair point to raise but as already pointed out, it's only been a year. More importantly, as we've already seen the 250's become somewhat of a minor league when compared to the 450's, the argument could be made that AX is more intense in several ways than SX.

All that aside, Bowers showed last year he was more than capable of playing in the SX sandbox, I wonder how it would work vice versa should you randomly pick a half dozen of the top 20 SX riders and have them ride AX.

What? No excitement to meet him?

With some of these guys you have to stand in line for hours just to get a ticket so that you can come back and stand in line again for an autograph.

Which one do the sponsors want??

No hysteria here, just calling out a bonehead when I see one.
Open the mind grandma.....1,000 people in a line or Millions on TV /seeing/hearing the controversy images/mentions over and over. What does a sponsor prefer?

It's only one race, but AC is the real deal, we've been watching him race amateur since '07 or so. Not taking anything away from his peers in the same age group, but the kid has something special.

Yeah the new kid has been on the radar for awhile and has shown some real talent. As long as he stays healthy he will be a force.

Damn noob that's wrong. AC was fast before Aldon. JS won two in a row and he fired Aldon years ago. Training will only get you so far....bike setup is huge.

AC did great for his first SX race but I wouldn't call it smoking the rest of the field. At least not his team mates. Davalos was faster than AC and BB but couldn't keep it on 2 wheels. 2 crashes and a podium is pretty impressive. I think its MD's championship to lose.
Blake has only been on his bike 8 days since Dec when he shattered his foot, 2nd was a great finish for him as well.
The thing AC has going for him is that he seemed to not get stressed when BB was pressuring him; this will go a long ways in him ending up on the box every weekend. I wonder how he will do when he has to come through the pack.

I can't remember a race where the track was so hard that the bikes didn't even get dirty.

We had great seats this year.

I went up to the top to see what the cheap seat view was like.

The eighth largest TV in the world looks like a 40"er from up there.

Opening ceremonies are always awesome.

The pits were just OK.

I can't remember a race at Texas Stadium where a bike did get dirty, except for '95 and '97, when it rained. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUK64uOljrg. It was blue groove. The dirt they have now is loamy compared. Today's riders are all pussies and whine if the track isn't perfect. It's sad to think that if we got lucky and all the great riders from all the eras could line up and race, all of today's riders would load up and go home if the track happened to be one of the good ones like Carlsbad, Saddleback, or Unadilla pre-90.
