The dirt they have now is loamy compared. Today's riders are all pussies and whine if the track isn't perfect. It's sad to think that if we got lucky and all the great riders from all the eras could line up and race, all of today's riders would load up and go home if the track happened to be one of the good ones like Carlsbad, Saddleback, or Unadilla pre-90.

Did they bring the same dirt from that stadium? I guess that it's all about the same down there.

I remember them pressure washing bikes in the pits two years ago. Maybe that's because they got wet getting into the stadium.

Did KW perform his transfer jump? I saw on Facebook that he crashed during his practice runs. Can't say that I thought that those were a real smart idea those jumps are tricky enough and then he goes and cross jumps the track?

To each his own but I fail to see the purpose.

Looks like you had a great view of the first turn. I didn't see the race as it was on Fox sports 2?

Cool T shirt!

Doesn't seem like the same dirt. The new dirt seems to have more red clay.

The old stuff was almost white and by the end of the night had more rubber on it than dirt.

It seems if they can't grab a handful of throttle at any instant, on any portion of the track, then it's just too slick.

I sat in the cheap seats this year, though cheap in anaheim isn't that far up, but i liked it! Being able to follow someone around a full lap is great.

First SX I've been to that they didn't spend time working the track between races. At the end of the night it looked just like it did after practice.

After the LCQ one skid loader went out and just drove out across a few parts of the track, don't remember seeing him ever put his bucket down.

My kid looked up some qualifying times as a friend just missed the 450 by one or two spots. We talk a lot about the loss of the 125 class and how we'd like to see it go back to maybe 150cc and 250cc as the 250s are just as fast as the 450s, but there is no true lite class.

He noticed the lap times in qualifying would have had the last place 250 rider in about 29th in the 450 class.

No wonder our friend is shooting at qualifying in the "premier" class!

Blake has only been on his bike 8 days since Dec when he shattered his foot, 2nd was a great finish for him as well.
The thing AC has going for him is that he seemed to not get stressed when BB was pressuring him; this will go a long ways in him ending up on the box every weekend. I wonder how he will do when he has to come through the pack.
Well Yeah,AC did do great "for a first race" Was there another race during the night he could have won? He won his heat, won his main. The scorers dont count could haves, and would haves.

It looked like AC was chasing Davalos, which in turn caused Davalos to crash hard, the amazing thing was Davalos crashed again, and still ended up 3rd on the podium. Great effort to keep getting up and going and doing well.

I watched the Roczen/Barcia incident again, they do show it from a different angle and Barcia's wheel wasnt THAT close to Roczen's bike, maybe 3' away at least. And Barcia did say he had been doing that same scrub every lap on that jump.

But then,he may have just been Effing with Roczen.
Roczen's outburst during interview is probably regretted by now.

Yes, KW did a transfer, but it wasn't as huge as the one last year. He said something about crashing it in practice, but I didn't see it as I was in the pits a lot. I'm sure that it was pletny sketchy powering off of a rock hard jump sideways.
I have a video of it that I'll post up.

I got both Roczen and Dungy to sign the shirt!

Deb got #1 and #2 for the night to sign hers.

Big-ass mirror sculpture that they have out front.

Me? I might not be a pimple faced kid, but my 3 son's are all under 25 years old and they agree! I race open class 4t, for a quickly slowing, lazy vet they are a blessing.

The lap times speak for themselves in SX. It would be a better show if there were a 125/150 class. Most of the time the 250s are doing the same triples/quads the 450 are doing, and if the slowest qualifying 250 rider would be 29th qual in the 450s, something is wrong with the program.
