Oh hell no.

You waited to see where the Koresh family parked in the pits way back when so you could be as far away as possible.

That is so true, this thread is not what I thought it would be. Some people in here should learn how to set up their bikes and read a track. Makes me wonder if they even ride in the first place.

I, for one, have a hard time seeing where Alessi was going, other than the side of Tickle.

Well, which is it, is rubbin racin or not? Or is it only legit when your guy does the rubbin?
I guess you'd have to start with understanding the difference between close proximity and hard perpendicular impact.

I read LostOnRow1's comment as sarcasm, and can't see how you can spin this as Tickle putting himself in harm's way.

What kind of story would you like, little feller?

You want to grab some cocoa and a blanket first?

Alessi vs Tedesco for 2005 AMA lites MX title - YouTube

Here's some more Alessi bashing fuel.

I've wondered what the fuck he could possibly been saying to Ivan Tedesco ever since the first time I saw that.

Here's my take on it Alessi was oblivious blinded by a device that emits light through a process of optical amplification based on the stimulated emission of electromagnetic radiation. I can't say for sure but I believe Dave Feeney is off to the left of these guys with such a device (Out of the Picture) If this proves to be true Tony A will be out for blood (JMBSO)

What would a 2t centric track look like? How would it be different from current tracks?

QUOTE=andrewgore;23542392]I still don't think most 2 strokes could be doing what the 4 strokes are doing on the track. That said, the tracks are designed towards how the new 4 strokes run so its kind of a moot point.

The biggest downside is like you said, cost. Which is why if you opened the motors on most guys outside of the top 10, they'll likely be big bore "cheater" motors. Especially in the 250 class. Not too many riders out there have Monster Kawasaki money.

Did Weston Peick compete up through the 250 class?

Less ultra tight turns with giant rhythm sections\whoops within 1-2 bike lengths from the end of the turn. Triples that are shorter. I suppose it could be my imagination, but the tracks during the 2T days had far wider turns and had obstacles that allowed for more run-up to them. I also find it hard to disagree with Carmichael & Emig who both agree that the 2-strokes they rode would have a hard time on the tracks as we see them today.

I do not think that the 2-stroke bikes were down on max HP, but the fact remains that the 4-strokes just put it down better. Combine their wider usable power range, with the now widespread use of Traction Control (which even I can buy for my KTM for under 700$), and you've got an insanely potent combination.

Imagine if the bikes today were racing here:

All that said, I'd love it if they allowed 450cc 2T to compete against 450 4T bikes & 250 2T with the 250 4T bikes.

Andrew
