the hose split and blow off, must have lost all its coolant while moving. I found it when I stopped at a gas station after we split up. I was able to get it put back on and fill it with water. It ran fine the rest of the way home, but the hose still has some of the split I couldn't cut off or it would be to short to put back together.

I had my dad down, he rented a gs800 we did a lot of riding around town doing some stuff around the mountains. We ended up riding the same trail to cattelmans that me and Chrissrt rode. My dad is 51 so I was a little nervous but when he passed me at 85 I had a hard time keeping up. So on average we did the trail at 70. It was a great ride so thank a lot to all the people that helped me plan it.

Sounds awesome dude! glad it worked out and no one got hurt. Just got back from playing army for two weeks in new mexico. Start my new job this Monday at Cummins in Horizion. Should be interesting. I should have money for tires and tags very soon (jobless since November). Then Ill be down to ride. Still slowly but surely fixing the ktm up from the wreck last april. Re-fiberglassing the windscreen too. Tired of it looking like a POS.

Cummins should be a pretty cool place to work, I'm a fan! You could always come to the dark side and join active duty if the new job doesn't work out!

I only live a couple miles from Cummings.

Bike is back up and running, hoses and head gasket replaced, no more water in the oil.

Its interesting so far. A lot of stuff to catch up on. I mostly did electrical, emissions, and a/c when I was at freightliner. Been a few years since I tore into the big diesels. Im in the Tejas National Guard right meow. My plan is to hit warrant in the guard then possibly switch to active. Everything is subject to change.

lunch, not sure what that is, usually can't get out of my office during lunch. I tried implementing a policy that if you need to see me during lunch you bring me lunch, but it didn't work out.

I feel you on the long drive, that's what I did back at Bragg, all 2 lane back roads though.

Don't wait to long to try and go warrant, I've got an NCO in my unit that just had his time in service waiver denied, they didn't even look at the rest of his qualifications.

Ride Saturday 8-16

This might be short notice, but about 5 or 6 of us are riding at 8 Saturday morning, meeting at the atv rental place by red sands, then we'll do some trails, mostly hard packed or rocks up toward horizon. So anybody interested, show up, txt me at 256-4940 or send me a message.. =)
