Chu,

I'm kinda hanging back and seeing what the NooBs want. If you want to do the Hunter/Lippencott Loop on Saturday, I can help out with that.

On Friday I was thinking of doing Skidoo, Augeberry, Kilns, Wildrose, and the canyons behind Ballarat if time. I haven't done these in my 7 years of travelling DV.

Would be up for this too. I'd like to show Nick Hunter Cabin and Racetrack.

BIG favor...can you include big bikes (intermediate riders) in your group?......pleeease
Sure, I don't see any reason why a big bike can't come along, assuming the riders can handle the few tough spots and riding in sand/rocks. Even better if they bring a weight-lifter buddy to help them pick up their bike when it tips over!

I'd also like to do an Echo/Titus loop, but I've never done Echo before. If anyone who has done it wants to co-lead an Echo/Titus ride on Saturday, then that solidifes my plans. Plan on a small group, but enough to help out if we get stuck at the steps. I might just go ahead and create the sign-up and see who wants to give a try. Life's an adventure, right?

If we do Goler on Saturday, we'll look for you. I'll be wearing a red jacket on a XR650L (red on red). Might be stopped at one of the cabins in the pass for lunch around that time.

I have seen Todd's pics as an NFL cheerleader. Amazing feat of engineering to keep him contained in that little skirt and halter top.

Noobs ( & Randall),

Here's some video of Echo and many other places in and around DV, courtesy of they guys at DV Daze. The steps in Echo aren't that bad, the stuff after them is worse and a lot longer to get to Bug Dune.

Here's a short vid of the Chicken Strip and Saline Valley warm springs for my pilot friends. Hope they don't mind me parking briefly on the airstrip, too windy to fly that day anyway.

Windsock, blowin' pretty good, note dust storm behind.

FOLKS...DVNP HAS issued "PARK ALERTS IN EFFECT" so please read the park rules and regulations.

they've seen us before we can see them. as long we behave maturely and avoid getting attention, we should be ok. let's keep a low profile. 200 riders may be a lot, but once we spread out and go to different routes, we won't be seeing much of the others.

we're 1 group while in the campground, but once we get on the highway, we're all different groups. keep your group size small, 8 riders?

also, please get your park permit on the first day. if you get apprehended without one, that will not fly very well. $10 for the whole week for m/c.

ROADS & VEHICLE USE
• All vehicles must remain on established roads. This includes motorcycles, bicycles and four-wheel-drive vehicles.
• All motorized vehicles and drivers must be properly licenced.
• Operating a motor vehicle in a manner that causes unreasonable damage to the surface of a park road or route is prohibited.
• Off-road vehicles are prohibited from operating on all park roads, paved or dirt. These types of vehicles include, but are not limited to, ATVs, dirt or motocross bikes, and golf carts, Rhino or Polaris multiple passenger vehicles. Duel sport motorcycles are allowed on paved or dirt roads as long as the vehicle is registered and street legal according to California state laws.
• Vehicles with off-road registration "green stickers" may not be opperated in the park.

Speed Limits
• The maximum speed on paved park roads is 35 mph unless otherwise posted.
• The maximum speed on dirt roads is 25 mph unless otherwise posted.
• The speed limit for the 50 yards approaching and leaving all entrance stations is 15 mph.
