Late Notice - Rocky Mountain Rally - March 21-23

I have 2 full days (320+ miles) of rally in central UT (with the help of Inmate Cross-Country) and a couple dozen riders coming. It's been invite only up to this point but I've had a couple of people with some last minute conflicts so I may have room for a couple more riders. The route is truly epic and full of washes, trails, two-track, singletrack, slickrock, dunes, rocks, whoops, you name it, through 2 stages each day.

Important points:
- Novice navigators are fine, but no novice riders please.
- Must have a SPOT and get it set up before the rally.
- 100 mile fuel range (or figure something out)
- Need a nav setup with roadbook holder, odo, CAP, etc.- RallyBlitz + tupperware is acceptable :)
- Need to be at the riders meeting near Green River UT by Friday March 21, 7PM.
- The bivowac is outside of town so plan on camping.

PM me if interested.

Tupperware

You will make me feel bad when one of you bad asses pass me navigating from a Tupperware bowl while my F2r Equipped Rally Husaberg plugs along... Noob navigator extraordinaire. I damn near got lost on the LAB2V... Leaving the parking lot in Barstow.
Thank God for Spot Trackers...

Still planning on making it to your epic rally Phil.

300 plus miles of navigating is awesome, especially when someone else does all the hard work of planning, mapping and creating the roadbooks.

Wyo - If it makes you feel better, I'm happy to strap a tupperware on my bike and trade with you.

Jason - Wish you were able to come. Next time I'll give you a little more notice...though it seems like it might be time for you to start keeping a bike out west somewhere.

Nothing wrong with tupperware. This got me through two of Scot Hardens' Nevada Rally Experiences:

watch out for rain. Some of those roads get a little sticky.

Hopefully I can find my way to bivouac with all this navigation stuff strapped to my bike

Frank - Looks excellent. Throw a burly rubberband (like one cut from an innertube) between the "legs" on the x mount, over the phone. I've never lost a phone with the x mount, but a little help with a rubber band is good insurance.

Current weather

65 Fri - Sun
63 Sat - Partly Sunny
66 Sun - Partly Sunny

Basically....perfect.

We are getting close. Bike is almost done... By almost I mean it's now on my bike lift ready to be worked on. . Luckily my work schedule is really light so I'll have no problem getting it ready.

Gotta give a huge thanks to Pilo for organizing this. Can't believe we are getting a rally in Utah.
