OK, those vids make me feel much better. As a noob, all this talk of pins, screws and plates was making me question my decision of stepping out of the safe confines of a caged car.....

My first Sandblast I flipped my 950A end over and landed on my face with the bike landing on the back of my head. I got up....took some time to straighten the bike out and got back on the road before the sweep truck passed me. by my 3rd Sandblast I was running in the top 5. At my last Sandblast I washed the front wheel out in a corner and landed on my face...these things are cyclical

Locations

I put some key locations on a google map a couple years ago to get a better idea where things are. I have updated it to what I _think_ is all the correct locations for this year.

Might be useful for first timers: http://goo.gl/maps/1qrRY

Doug, be sure to drop a pin on the hospital. Luckily, my hotel was a short walk from Chesterfield general.....after the nurse pointed out the direction.

So got another noob question.

The first aid kit is supposed to have a first aid manual in it. I don't want to carry a book with me, so are there other options? I have an app on my phone, does that count?

And on the reflective material for the night stages - can I just get a safety vest with reflective stripes on it and carry it around til it gets dark? I was just looking at my jacket and pack and it doesn't have much reflective stuff on it.

Thanks!

I got a mini-red corss book, and laminated the important pages. Super small.

Yes, a relfcetive vest will do! 10 square inches of reflective.

There's night stages?

I don't remember a night stage or having to wear a vest.....
