Unseasonably cold and wet.

Sounds about right for a Sandblast Rally!

Every year I look forward to that one time we had 20 degree days and warm sun, and we were all hanging out soaking up the rays on stage before the start. Instead, we usually get rain and bitterly cold temperatures the day of the race. Just like RWV was this past year - the Friday was absolutely pristine and perfect, and the race weekend was a mess.

Better pack the waterproof gear...

Don't get me started on the metric system. Although I'm sure the engineers here will feel the same way as I do.

That was when it was run the first weekend in February. I was a volunteer and so sunburned by the afternoon, only to freeze all night in the tent. Goosebumps hurt when you're pink.

Call me a wuss, but I'm going to see if my Gerbings will fit over my pressure suit.

Or I could just throw the snow blower in the trailer to ward off the bad weather.

I have always wondered how this would work as emergency heat for a smaller bike. Shouldn't take too much power and packs up small.

Will be way more effective under the pressure suit.

I just got done with my first class on Jet Engine Performance Analysis. The mega company I work for still uses the English measurement system for prints, designs, and calculations. This class will use the ever so common and well known absolute temperature scale known as Rankine among other fun obscure units like Lbm and Lbf etc. I would love it if we could just switch to metric...so much easier.

There maybe a shower or two on race day but it's looking like it'll be in the 70's.
