I agree... I only use my GPS to tell me where I have been. Not where I'm going.
Not smart enough to download maps to follow. Not that I would want to go where someone has already been. I prefer those no recent-track routes.

Hey Mr Klod,
Nice rig and nice bike. Thats the set up for me in a couple of years. For now its a Suburu and a 250cc, from there it can only get better right.

Havasu will be a fun ride. I would like to plan it, if I got some help on routes...

Also, send me a p.m. with good dates if you are interested in the Havasu ride. This would be a 2-day overnight? Yes? Ummm...... Yes.... This will be a 2 day overnight.
Lemme know when and where... I am resuming my rides all together till after the holidays, so much work and family ties stuff, and my bike will be ready next Friday with brand new everything in it. Tom got something ready also (like 2 day ride?? maybe after the holidays I assume). We'll keep you posted for sure.

I've heard that there's a quad or sxs starter that fits the xr650r.....

Evidently that mod requires major machine work. AZcagiva was describing it to me. I don't think this is a kick start issue. Something is fundamentally wrong. Ive started this bike from here to 13k ft and in the cold and the heat. This is the first time it has failed.

Havasu: Jan is almost completely open for me. I'll look at some maps for potential routes (just to avoid dead ends and backtracking on pavement and private)
Also I got a Shirpa ready and willing.

I spellt it wrong Sherpa.
What do they all have in common? Also known as a "shag wagon".
Anyone who can't or doesnt want to carry that last sleeping bag/tent/chair/spare quart of oil. He'll haul in his truck and meet us there (max 2 items). He'll do this in return for Beer/food.
